Death Knights are once Paladins, who devoted themselves to the Light but betrayed their oaths and died without ever seeking repentance or atonement. As a result, the Light returns their soul to the world of the living, revives their physical body and repels them out of the land. Roaming without their life’s goal, most Death Knights fall into despair, madness and forever renounce the Light, eventually succumb to the God of Death and venture down a path of darkness.

The giant scythe of Death Knight carries their own soul, empowered by the God of Death. Being crafted from materials of both worlds, Death Knight’s weapon is indestructible. Filled with despair, madness of undead beings, Death Knights will stop at nothing on the battlefield. They now only serve the God of Death, fighting to collect more souls to the afterlife.

Though Death Knight’s appearance is horrific and fearful, they were once Paladins after all, who always retain their commitment to honor code. Therefore,Death Knights always stand on the frontline, they prefer to avoid tricks, stealth or unfair odds. However, don’t assume that they will listen to their enemy’s cries for mercy.

Ascended Pauldrons: Tainted with the unholy black power, the mantles represent the force of Death itself.

Great Scythe: Once was the hammer of Justice, now the Great Scythe bears witness of betrayal to the Light.

Boneweave Armor: Only the worthiest champions of the necropolis are able to wear this valuable armor.

Savaged Skull: The helm serves as a jailor of souls, those who fell under the Death Knight’s Great Scythe.

Deathmarked Chains: Some certain materials act as beacons to roaming souls, hence they are forged into these chains.

Lantern of the Damned: Forged as a gift for the secret pact between the Paladins and the Death Knights, although someone may doubt the lantern serves another purpose.
